All About Profiling
The process of creating this piece was as personal as the story itself. From the initial concept and pre-production planning to the shoot and final edit, every stage was designed to reflect Asa’s authenticity and creative energy. The shoot took place in her apartment, and at the AMM (journalism department at Rhodes University). It spanned over 6 hours, in two days allowing the camera to capture her natural rhythm and personal aesthetic. During editing, careful attention was given to pacing, tone, and colour, ensuring the visuals complemented Asa’s voice and the essence of her story. The result is a compelling short feature that not only celebrates Asa’s journey in journalism but also highlights how self-expression and storytelling intertwine in her everyday life.
